Reliance Jio announced the extension of their plan, including free voice call, and free data services till March 31, 2017 with a “Jio Happy New Year” offer.
Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries said, “I want to announce today that starting 4th of December, 2016, every new Jio user will get… Jio’s data, voice, video and the full bouquet of Jio applications and content, absolutely free, till 31st March 2017. We are calling this the “JIO HAPPY NEW YEAR OFFER.”
Jio has become the fastest growing technology company. And this is not only in India, but in the history of the world. Jio has successfully rolled out eKYC across 2 lakh outlets in India. This is equal to the total number of ATMs and plans to double it to over 4,00,000 by March 31st, 2017.
On behalf of its popularity Mukesh Ambani said, “In the first three months since its birth, Jio has grown faster than Facebook, WhatsApp or Skype. In 83 days, it has crossed 50 million customers on its 4G LTE ALL-IP wireless broadband network. ”
Adding that on an average, a Jio customer is using 25 times more data. Uses of Data is more than average Indian broadband user.
Reliance Jio launched Happy New Year Offer
Ambani said “In Jio Happy New Year Offer, we have fine-tuned our fair usage policy to ensure all users get fair share of network capacity. In this period Jio customers will also be able to test-drive digital recharge, billing experience, using JioMoney wallet.”
Under the current TRAI norms, promotional offers cannot exceed a period of 90 days. Jio had commenced commercial operations on September 5.
Jio also announced the launch of the Jio Money Merchant Solution. This solution provides access to Jio’s services, including digital money. This will enable digital transactions of all types. These transaction will be accessible at Mandis, small shops, restaurants, Railway ticket counters. It is also available for Bus and mass transit and even for person-to-person money transfers.
Jio claims to be delivering four times more data than all other Indian telecom operators. It is also offering faster browsing and downloading speed than any other mobile network in India.
According to reports, 80% of Jio customers consume less than 1 GB data in one day.
Subscribers who wish to consume additional data beyond 1GB per day will have to choose from various tariff options. This step has been taken to ensure that all Jio users get superior and faster data experience.
